WHO ARE THE REAL MEN? THOSE THAT USE WOMEN AND LOCK THEM AWAY OR THOSE WHO RESPECT THEM AND ALLOW THEM TO FLY?

Every man, woman, and child lives, moves, grows, shows emotion when free to express themselves and feels. The eyes see what the soul communicates. The soul is a reflection of who we are, and through the most intimate part of our souls, we can establish a close, safe relationship with ourselves. Through knowing our own soul, we can get to know each breath: gasping, when we have worries that will not leave us; controlled, when we feel at peace with everything that surrounds us; or slow, when it seems like pain takes our breath away, crushing us with all its strength and the burden of sadness that we carry on our backs.

It is deep within our soul that we suffer the most serious tragedy, by feeling in our body when someone tramples on our dignity and our freedom, with their supremacy and strength. No respect, just the desire to insult a woman’s character, the aim to make themselves feel powerful. Imposing without listening, using violence in all its forms, to abuse our bodies, our femininity, our fragility and weakness.

Every day a woman is a victim of oppression, and rarely finds the strength and courage to fight back. Often because she is compelled to silence, or because she is shut away in a dark room, or often because the final outcome is death. Women whose identities have been violated, women that have screamed into the depths of their souls, women that have suffered sexual abuse from violent men, women that have suffered domestic abuse, women that have been abducted and enslaved in the sex trade and women that have sought death from their jailers

These are women who have asked not to have their dignity trampled on, women that ask for respect and freedom.

Being a real man does not mean imposing your own supremacy to get anything you want from a woman, using her, or forcing her into a life that has already been decided.

Being a real man means letting a woman be free to live, to walk the streets without fear of being harmed, beaten, raped or kidnapped. Being a real man means recognising a woman without putting her in a position of inferiority. It means respecting the femininity and intimacy of a woman without abusing her body. It means respecting a woman, defending her, protecting her and preventing these abuses and sufferings from continuing.

Being a real man means allowing a woman to break free from her chains and express herself using her qualities and talents.  Being a real man means valuing a woman and breaking any kind of barrier that keeps her imprisoned to men.

So a woman can feel respected and free to spread her wings and fly away.
